Emmerdale hunk shows off incredible body transformation after quitting soap and landing huge BBC role
It came as he opened up on his diet and 'sweet tooth'
AN EMMERDALE hunk has revealed his dramatic image transformation after quitting the ITV soap.
The actor, who was a Dales favourite between 2016 and 2017, has revealed his ripped look in a series of sizzling Instagram snaps.
We previously reported how Ethan Kai looks totally different outside life on Emmerdale farm, where he played mild-mannered Kasim Sabet.
Yet off-screen, he makes sure fitness is a priority.
He looks completely different from his character, donning skin-fit gym wear which shows off his honed physique.
His personal account also sees him training for endurance feat Tough Mudder and undertaking the chilly Ice Bucket challenge.
Others see him posing topless and flashing his tattoos while some mirror selfies capture Ethan in figure-hugging tops and flashing a pout.
Tonight, he will be back on-screen in new BBC show The Turkish Detective.
The former Killing Eve actor will play Detective Mehmet Suleyman in the eight-part thriller based on Barbara Nadel’s novels.
REAL DEAL
The actor – who performed topless in theatre show Equus – recently opened up on his diet.
He told website Culture Calling about his eating habits prior to heading on-stage and admitted: “I do have a sweet tooth and I love my food, and I wouldn’t say I’m on a strict diet but you have to keep yourself in decent shape.
“It’s a physically demanding play – by the end I’m completely out of breath and my last lines are a struggle to get out.
“It’s tough doing that every night, sometimes twice a day – but that’s what I signed up for and I certainly wouldn’t change it.”
TROUBLED TIMES
Ethan’s character Kasim Sabet had a tough time on Emmerdale back in 2016.
He was recovering from a coma following a the Hotten Bypass crash.
Kasim then arrived in the village looking for the man who saved him.
He quickly met Finn Barton and sparks flew, before he became aware of his possessive attitude as well as his mum Emma’s troubling behaviour.
Their partnership then came crashing down when Kasim discovered Finn had “stalked” him when he was in a coma, leading to their split.
At the time Joe Gill, who plays Finn, said: “I think the connection that Finn feels with Kasim is very strong.
“When Kasim was in a coma, he unloaded all of his thoughts onto him.
“Even though Kasim might not have been able to hear him, Finn feels a bond towards him and thinks he’s the only person he can confide in.”
