Emmerdale fans in tears as Rhona Goskirk is banned from seeing baby Ivy

EMMERDALE fans are in tears after Rhona Goskirk got to hold baby Ivy and realised she could never be her mother.
The vet – who is played by actress Zoe Henry in the ITV soap – has become obsessed with seeing baby Ivy after discovering she exists.
Viewers know Rhona’s ex-husband Gus schemed with his new wife Lucy to steal the fertilized embryos from he and Rhona’s time together.
Ivy, the resulting baby, was born after Rhona confronted Lucy, pushing her into early labour in which she died, leaving Ivy without a mother.
Rhona has already been caught sneaking into the hospital to meet Ivy and tonight she went to Gus’ home to “help” with her mother Mary.
But once Gus fell asleep, Rhona couldn’t resist taking the chance to feed Ivy herself, leaving Gus horrified.
He sent them packing but the damage was done to Rhona.
At home she broke down with the emotions she felt towards her biological daughter.
She told mum Mary: “I can’t stop thinking about Ivy, she is part of me. I’m scared that Gus is not going to be able to cope. She needs me.”
Mary told her that she would help Gus but that Rhona could never see Ivy again.
Rhona broke down in tears as her mother laid it all out and viewers were in tears with her.
One wrote: “I can’t cope with this storyline Rhona I really can’t.”
A second said: “Cannot get my head around this at all. So the baby is Rhonas yet her husband and mother want her to stay away. On what planet would anyone do that?”
Another added: “I think it’s seriously unfair what Gus is doing to Rhona – yes okay she’s gone about things the wrong way but she should get the chance to be part of her own daughters life. He’s literally stolen her embryo and then just assumed she would stay away. Idiot.”
