Emmerdale couple torn apart as Leyla Harding gets ultimate revenge on Victoria

UNIVERSAL: Victoria Sugden has been playing with fire behind everyone’s backs for months, and Leyla Harding has never been a fan.

Now that the truth about her relationship with Jacob Gallagher (Joe Warren Plant) is known, Leyla Harding (played by Roxy Shahidi) in Emmerdale is preparing the ultimate retaliation against Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins).

Fans of the ITV soap opera are aware that Victoria has been discreetly seeing the son of her former partner David Metcalfe (played by Matthew Wolfenden) for several months.

David was devastated to learn of their affair when he saw them sharing a kiss and was attempting to win Victoria back.

Victoria was unmarried when they first became close, so technically they did nothing wrong, but Leyla, Jacob’s mother, doesn’t think that way.

She is fiercely protective of her son and has never been a fan of Victoria. Will she therefore manage to separate the couple?

In an interview with Express.co.uk and other media, Roxy hinted that her character might be planning retaliation in upcoming scenes.

The actress went on to say: “With the Jacob storyline, I think at the end of the day, she is always loyal to him, and I think it will take her a cup of tea to forgive him.”

The ITV soap star did, however, add in a cryptic manner, “But I don’t think she will ever like Victoria, ever.”

Will Leyla manage to drive Victoria from the village and allow her to at last leave her son alone?

Fans of Emmerdale have been speculating that David, having had a falling out with Jacob, might exact some revenge of his own.

There are viewers who firmly believe Theo is not David’s son, but rather Jacob’s. The young boy was born following a sexual assault by Jacob’s teacher.

Although she was later placed on trial, Jacob believed he could have been Theo’s father at the time of the child’s birth.

David told Jacob he was the baby’s father and revealed he dated the teacher as well. But was David telling the truth, since only he saw the paternity test results?

“I suspected for a while now that Theo (David’s son) is really Jacob’s son and David took responsibility so as not to ruin Jacob’s future,” a fan wrote on X, the platform that was formerly known as Twitter.

Another person said, “We only have David’s word for that as no-one else saw the letter!”
