Emmerdale Christmas spoilers: Teens in serious danger amid terrifying car crash fear

There could be heartbreaking tragedy for two Emmerdale families this festive season, when twins Cathy and Heath Hope (Gabrielle and Sebastian Dowling), along with Angelica King (Rebecca Bakes), take Wendy (Susan Cookson)’s car for a joyride.

Cathy has previously put her own life at risk with some dangerous behaviour, as we know that one of the effects of her PMDD is that she can be uninhibited and reckless at times.

She was diagnosed with the hormonal disorder earlier this year and was told it could last decades.

So when the teens disappear from the village and Bob (Tony Audenshaw) discovers that Wendy’s car is missing, he’s immediately alarmed.

They’ve got a plan – but will it end badly?

‘He sees April (Amelia Flanagan) in the street and asks if she’s seen the twins,’ Tony Audenshaw told us.

‘Of course she’s a really honest person and she says they went off in Wendy’s car. Cathy’s driven off in the car and they’ve gone, and Angelica’s with them.’

The three have apparently set off to Hotten to go to a New Year party.

‘He can’t believe that they’ve done it, basically,’ Tony said of Bob’s reaction to the discovery. ‘It’s unclear, actually, whether he knows that Cathy can drive or not. Obviously because of the nature of what’s happened in the last few months a lot of behaviour has been tied in with the PMDD, so she has been acting very erratically for quite a few months. So he’s concerned, I think, more than anything.’

As Bob makes the worrying discovery, inside the car Cathy is at the wheel and Angelica and Heath are flirting with each other.

They urge Cathy to speed up and Heath is frustrated that she’s not going fast enough.

So Cathy puts her foot down, oblivious to the risks as she has a near miss with another car. Driving faster and faster, Cathy speeds off into the darkness.
