EastEnders is set to revisit the George Knight identity storyline as Eddie sparks suspicion.
George’s adoptive parents Eddie and Gloria recently arrived on Albert Square, though they have been harbouring secrets about George’s background.
George notably discovered that he was adopted through a process called farming, in which babies were sold to parents looking for a child.
However, Eddie has also been causing tensions within the family as his racist beliefs came to light.
In new scenes set to air next week on the soap, Eddie heads to The Vic and reveals that he has won an award for championing diversity in boxing – and while George is proud, Gina isn’t convinced that Eddie has changed his ways.
George senses Gina’s annoyance, leading him to take Eddie on a tour of the Square, and they stumble upon Denzel training for boxing. George is encouraged by Eddie to get in the ring with Denzel as they try and improve his form, after which Avani arrives and joins Denzel in the ring.
However, Eddie’s tough approach has negative consequences as Denzel insults Avani, leading her to leave. George then berates Denzel, before heading to McClunky’s to apologise.
Gloria then rings Eddie, and he declares that everything is going to plan – what is Eddie up to?
Meanwhile, Gina helps Cindy at Beale’s Eels, where she admits she’s concerned about George and Eddie. Cindy then confronts George over his new acceptance of Eddie.
Yet things turn sour, George hitting back at Cindy over her own parenting skills. Cindy is then left reeling from the clash with George.
