EastEnders spoilers: The end for Denise Fox ‘confirmed’ after woodland speeding car terror

Denise falls apart

Denise Fox (Diane Parish) is in a terrible state next week in EastEnders. With the events of Christmas Day causing her mental health to become fragile, another dark week leaves her loved ones desperately worried.

Following Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) murder, The Six have been forced to keep the truth about his disappearance and Nish Panesar’s (Navin Chowdhry) attack a secret – which has been a case of easier said than done.

For Denise, being unable to cope with everything that’s happened has seen her struggle to sleep, and experience horrifying hallucinations of dead Keanu.

This happens again next week, so Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) pops by to see Denise, but she tries to brush off Amy Mitchell’s (Ellie Dadd) concerns. However, when Denise finally begins to talk about what she’s seeing and hearing, Stacey recognises the signs that she’s experiencing psychosis.

With Ricky Fowler (Frankie Day) and Amy worried Denise ends up rushing outside the house to hide behind a bush. Stace gets her back inside but after a failed conversation with Pastor Clayton, Denise heads off to see the only person she believes can help her now – Lucas Johnson (Don Gilet).

After visiting Lucas, Denise heads home and frightens the life out of Amy and Ricky. She explains she must get them far away to keep them safe and grabs the car keys. Amy convinces Denise to let her go too, and they speed out of Walford.

Meanwhile, Stacey tells Jack that their affair is over, but the conversation is interrupted when Lucas phones and shares his fears about Denise.

Elsewhere, in a wooded area, Denise and Amy drive at high speed down a road. Denise then stops the car and rushes off into the night, leaving Amy all alone and completely distraught.

Back at the pub, word reaches the punters that Denise is missing, and they start to co-ordinate a search party. As Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams) picks Linda’s brain about Denise, Suki (Balvinder Sopal) grows determined to find a way out of this, no matter what happens.

With people out looking for Denise, who will find her, and what state will she be in?

And in the aftermath of this traumatic week, where will this leave the remaining members of The Six?
