EastEnders spoilers: Sharon’s wedding dress disaster revealed as the Christmas mµrder plot thickens

It’s an exciting time for Sharon – but it won’t last long

Sharon Watts’ (Letitia Dean) wedding prep goes drastically wrong in upcoming EastEnders episodes as she experiences a complete disaster with her wedding dress.

Sharon and Keanu (Danny Walters) are set to tie the knot on Christmas Day. It’s been a difficult year for them both as they’ve faced many challenges which have tested their relationship.

Right now, Sharon is keeping a major secret from Keanu, as he remains unaware that he isn’t the biological father of little Albie – but Phil (Steve McFadden) is.

The excitement surrounding Sharon’s big day increases soon as she and Linda (Kellie Bright) head into town to collect her dream wedding dress.

However, when they arrive back in Walford, Tommy (Sonny Kendall) accidentally sends her dress flying into the road.

Woops!

Back in the pub, Sharon reasons that Tommy’s mishap must be a sign for her to cancel the wedding but, after some encouraging words from Linda, and a new dress from Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Sharon decides to forge ahead after all.

These scenes will air just days before the Christmas Day murder is finally exposed.

A flash-forward sequence that aired way back in February allowed fans to discover that someone will be found dead on the floor of the pub this Christmas.

Months have passed and theories are still circulating, with everyone desperate to know who dies and how The Six – aka Kathy, Linda, Sharon, Stacey (Lacey Turner), Suki (Balvinder Sopal) and Denise (Diane Parish) – are involved.

‘We wanted it to be a storyline that actually brings the fans together, so we’re absolutely over the moon that it seems to be doing that and the fans are enjoying being a part of it’, show boss Chris Clenshaw said, discussing the story.

‘It obviously means that there’s huge pressure to deliver, but Christmas on EastEnders is always spectacular, and I think this year is a real treat. And I think you’ll be guessing right up until the very end.’

‘This year we have the six women and therefore we have six different stories which encompass pretty much the entire Square and all of the cast.

‘So it is an ensemble piece and all of those stories start to weave together, knit together and collide.’
