EastEnders spoilers: Kat Slater dumps abusive 𝕜iller Nish Panesar leaving him simmering with rage

It’s always a risk having a simple conversation with Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) in the street in EastEnders, let alone dumping him.

Nish recently started a relationship with Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) and yes, you did read that correctly. Neither were truly serious about committing to each other, and were subconsciously aware they were on the rebound after Suki (Balvinder Sopal) dumped Nish, and Kat dumped Phil (Steve McFadden).

Despite the obvious, Kat and Nish have been putting on an act in front of the Walford residents. In tonight’s (February 8) episode, Nish rushed through the market to catch up with Kat, who had ‘forgotten’ to wear the new coat he had bought her.

In front of the markets traders and a few members of the Slater clan, Kat was forced to take her iconic leopard print coat off and swap it for the one Nish had in his hands – something more formal, with no pattern, and looked a lot like itbelonged in Suki’s wardrobe instead.

Kat realised she was making a mistake

After being confronted by Jean (Gillian Wright), who questioned what on earth she was doing with Nish, Kat decided to focus on what actually mattered to her – Phil.

This left Kat with the apprehensive prospect of breaking bad news to Nish. He arrived at the cab office and suggested dinner, but Kat quickly got to the point and said they shouldn’t carry on seeing each other anymore.

Nish barely reacted to the news, but it was obvious being put in his place by Kat had angered him.

With Nish seemingly out of the way, Kat told Phil that they’re a really great team together and should try again, but sadly Kat’s paranoia started to get the better of her when Karen (Lorraine Stanley) arrived.

After Karen planted seeds of doubt in Kat’s mind, she realised she may always worry about Phil cheating on her or him getting back with Sharon – and who wants to live that life?

Kat then told Phil the trust between them had been broken and cannot be repaired, so they can no longer be together.

As Kat and Phil’s relationship came to an end, Nish was in Walford East, taking his frustration and upset out on Avani (Aaliyah James) and Priya (Sophie Khan Levy).

Moving forward, will Nish seek revenge on Kat after being dumped, or attempt to manipulate her into getting back with him?
