EastEnders spoilers: Exit for Martin Fowler revealed as he says his goodbyes

In forthcoming EastEnders scenes, James Bye’s character Martin Fowler will bid Albert Square farewell for a time before travelling halfway across the globe.

Martin chooses to go to Australia to assist his sister Michelle Fowler and her partner Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) after Michelle’s surgery after learning that she is having surgery.

Martin is leaving Albert Square behind

In 2018, Michelle left Walford, reasoning that there were too many negative memories associated with Albert Square and relocated to Australia.

Viewers will be aware that Sharon just left for Australia with her son Albie, after her closest friend Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) stabbed Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) to death to rescue her from his violent outburst.

The six ladies involved agreed to keep the corpse hidden and to keep the actual events of that night a secret thereafter, but Sharon eventually gave in to the pressure.

Unable to handle the situation, Sharon discreetly made her way to the tube station and the airport when it became apparent that The Six would need to return to the café and relocate Keanu’s corpse.

The news that Sharon had abandoned The Six shocked the others, and they didn’t find out until Zack Hudson (James Farrar) revealed her whereabouts to Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).

Now that Martin is travelling to Australia to join her, is it possible that they will discuss Sharon’s reasons for leaving and that she will disclose the real reason she travelled to Australia?

And would this pave the way for Michelle’s return as well as that of Martin and Sharon?
