EastEnders spoilers – Broken George exiles mum Gloria but tragedy strikes
George is conflicted over his feelings towards Gloria
George Knight (Colin Salmon) is to suffer fresh heartbreak in upcoming EastEnders scenes as adoptive mum Gloria (Elizabeth Counsell) struggled to distance herself from murderous husband Eddie (Christopher Fairbank).
Eddie is currently facing trial for the racially motivated murder of George’s birth father Henry forty years ago.
Henry’s body was found recently found stuffed in a suitcase and retrieved from a canal.
When Eddie and Gloria first arrived into The Queen Vic at the beginning of the year, they implied that their intention was to reconcile with their soon – but it later transpired that their plans were more sinister than originally thought.
George is conflicted over his feelings towards Gloria
George had longed to discover the truth surrounding his heritage, originally believing to be Jamaican, but was taken aback to learn that he was actually adopted from West Africa as part of a baby farming agreement.
When his parents returned to take him home, Gloria had made Eddie promise to do whatever it took to keep their son – which resulted in Henry’s death.
The revelation has shattered George’s perspective of his childhood and made him question whether he’d have been happier with his real family.
As he headed to the courtroom to give a character reference, he debated between telling a lie or exposing the vile man his dad really is.
Upcoming scenes will see the CPS reach out to George ahead of the trial to reveal that Gloria has given them new information about Eddie.
