EastEnders spoilers: 𝔻eadly danger as Denise Fox disappears into the woods after terrifying Amy Mitchell

Denise’s mental health has left her family worried

Denise Fox (Diane Parish) is really struggling in the aftermath of Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) murder in EastEnders, and has begun to show signs of psychosis.

After weeks of seeing hallucinations of Keanu, Denise’s illness has convinced her that Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) – who recently found out the truth – is working for the devil, and is planning to frame her for Keanu’s murder.

Desperate Denise soon felt that she had no choice but to visit ex-husband Lucas Johnson (Don Gilet) again, in the hopes that he would be able to show her forgiveness over what she’d done.

However, despite Denise explaining how she had helped to bury Keanu’s body, Lucas didn’t believe her, and left Denise even more distressed than she had been to begin with.

Back at home, Amy and Ricky Mitchell (Ellie Dadd and Frankie Day) were left concerned by Denise’s erratic behaviour, as she insisted that she needed to get away.

The teens and Raymond were left terrified as Denise insisted that they would be safe if they stayed in the house, as long as she went away.

However, Amy wasn’t going to let her go alone and demanded that she take her with her, much to Ricky’s horror.

Amy pointed out that Denise wasn’t safe to drive alone, and begged Ricky to call Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).

As Ricky tried to get through to Jack, Denise and Amy sped off in the car. Things took a horrifying turn when Denise threw Amy’s phone out of the window, leaving her with no way of contacting Ricky or Jack.

Amy was left terrified when Denise was forced to swerve to avoid an oncoming car, panicking that it was Johnny coming to find her.

It was then that she shut off the engine and told Amy that they would have to walk, but terrified Amy refused to leave the car and begged Denise not to go either.

However, Denise was convinced that Johnny would follow her, and leaving Amy in the car alone would keep her safe.

Poor Amy was horrified as Denise headed off into the woods, leaving her totally alone.

Meanwhile, back in the Square, Jack continued to ignore calls from Ricky, as he and Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) discussed the state of his marriage, deciding that it was time to end their affair.

When his phone continued to ring, he was shocked to find that it was actually Lucas calling. After Lucas explained his concerns for Denise’s mental health, Jack rushed home, where Ricky explained what had happened.

Will Denise’s family be able to find her and Amy before things get worse?
