It’s Christmas Day and the day of Sharon and Keanu’s wedding. As Sharon prepares for the ceremony, she continues to feel guilty about the secret that she’s keeping.
Bernie struggles as she wakes up on Christmas Day with no electricity or heating. She urges Keanu to confess everything to Sharon so that Karen can come home, but he refuses and also bans Bernie from the wedding. Fighting back, Bernie interrupts the Mitchells’ Christmas lunch and demands to speak to Phil.
Sharon walks down the aisle with Albie and prepares to exchange her vows with Keanu, but Phil then arrives.
Meanwhile, Suki prepares to leave Walford, but her plans are interrupted by a surprise visitor. Later, she makes a second attempt to leave, but is de-railed again by a panicked phone call from Vinny which forces her to return home.
Elsewhere, there’s a tense atmosphere between Stacey and Jack as she collects Charli for the Slaters’ Christmas lunch.
At Number 45, Anna and Gina enjoy Christmas lunch with Cindy and the rest of the Beales. Cindy invites George over for a drink, but Ian and Elaine both feel insecure when the former couple take a trip down memory lane. George tries to make things better by lying to Elaine, claiming that he has booked her a romantic trip away in a hotel.
Also today, a surprise video message from Lola is played to the Mitchells. Lola shares that Jay and Honey will both be running the London Marathon. Lola’s words about family make an impact on Phil, who heads over to The Vic.
As the day’s events come to a head, Denise, Kathy, Linda, Sharon, Stacey and Suki cross paths at the Vic. In a flash, their lives are changed forever as a Walford male meets his fate in the pub.
