EastEnders icon Lorraine Stanley reunites with on-screen son and our hearts are full
Lorraine recently left her role as Karen
Former EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley has reunited with her on-screen son Danny Walters.
The actress recently left her role as Karen Taylor, after playing her since 2017. Karen is the mother of Chantelle, Keegan, Bernie, Chatham, Riley and Keanu, the troubled character who died on Christmas Day last year.
Keanu was stabbed in the back by Linda (Kellie Bright), who was looking for a way to stop Keanu strangling Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).
The murder happened while Stacey (Lacey Turner), Denise (Diane Parish), Suki (Balvinder Sopal) and Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) were also present. This prompted the women – aka The Six – to work together and hide Keanu’s body in the cafe, vowing for the truth to never be revealed.

Keeping Keanu’s death a secret has absolutely been a case of easier said than done. After The Six got word of the cafe reopening, they had no choice but to dig Keanu’s body up and move him.
They then faced another challenge when Karen returned from Spain in search of Keanu, unaware her beloved son was buried a few steps away from her old home.
Following their departure storyline, Lorraine and Danny remain great friends. Just recently, Lorraine shared a picture on her Instagram Stories hanging out with Danny.
Keeping warm in the always challenging British weather, Danny and Lorraine can be seen in jumpers and hats, hugging and smiling at the camera.
‘Always a pleasure’, Lorraine wrote alongside with a 🥰 emoji.
Back in February, Lorraine shared a wonderful message on her socials, revealing to fans that she’s now declaring herself free from nicotine.
‘Day 8: finished the book, took the nicotine patch off before I went to bed last night and my nicotine free life starts now I’m free!!!!!!’ she wrote.
Elsewhere, while Danny has left EastEnders, he has returned a few times in recent weeks as a ghostly Keanu during Denise’s hallucinations.
