EastEnders icon Karen Taylor leaves Walford for good as fans predict twist
Karen Taylor - played by Lorraine Stanley - made a decision to leave Walford for good this evening as the truth surrounding the Albie kidnαp plot was revealed
Karen Taylor has made a plan to leave Walford after the truth about the kidnap plot was revealed in EastEnders.
Tonight, fans tuned into the BBC soap to see Phil Mitchell expose the kidnap plot to Sharon Watts as she and Keanu celebrate booking the Queen Vic for their wedding reception on Christmas Day. Karen Taylor was exposed for hatching a plan to kidnap Albie – but Sharon is yet to find out that Keanu was also a big part of the plan.
In sad scenes tonight, Karen ran out of the Vic after Phil’s confrontation and back to her home where she balled her eyes out. She had lied to everyone in a bid to protect her son and felt she had no option but to leave Walford for good.
When Mitch suggested they hand the money back, or she could end up dead, Karen decided to keep it – and was adamant her only option was to leave Walford for good and let Keanu live his life without the fear his secret would be exposed.
Giving their verdict on the scenes, one fan wrote: “How Keanu got the money is wrong but I don’t blame Karen for keeping the £50k and doing a runner #EastEnders,” as a second added: “Karen never wanted anything to do with it and now Keanu is letting her take the blame for it even though she looked disgusted that he would do that to her #EastEnders.”
A third shared: “It’s a real shame to see Karen go out like this; I genuinely don’t believe she’d do something like that. Lorraine Stanley is a fantastic actress; can’t wait to see what she does next #Eastenders.”
After what Keanu’s done tonight, fans are now convinced he’ll be the dead body at Christmas. One penned: “Keanu is SCUM. Letting Karen take the blame like that is despicable. I Hope he dies at Christmas #EastEnders,” whilst another added: “Wow, Keanu really is just terrible.” A third shared: “I don’t even like Karen but throwing your mother under the bus to save your own skin is a new level of low.”
Whoever dies this Christmas, it will be a huge twist – with seven men now seemingly in the frame.
