EastEnders ‘confirms’ who exposes Cindy Beale’s ploy to snare George Knight – and it’s going to be messy

Cindy wants to get her claws back into George

Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) is determined to get her claws back into ex-husband George Knight (Colin Salmon) in EastEnders, though it seems that someone may be set to ruin her plans.

Things have been rough for George this year – from Gloria’s death to Eddie’s imprisonment – and in one of his lowest moments he shared a kiss with Cindy.

When Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) found out, she threw George out, and he has been trying to make it up to her ever since.

To make matters even more complicated, estranged son Junior (Micah Balfour) has arrived on the scene, and he hasn’t done much to hide his dislike for his dad.

Meanwhile, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) also found out about Cindy and George’s kiss, but went out of his way to forgive her – something that Cindy clearly wasn’t expecting.

In more recent scenes, Cindy was left horrified to learn that daughter Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) had been mugged, and raced over to the Queen Vic to be with her.

When Anna refused to report the matter to police, Cindy phoned George with a plan, and he soon came running – unaware that Junior had seen who had been ringing.

Together, George and Cindy checked over the CCTV from the Boxing Den, but were gutted to realise that it didn’t show very much.

Back at George’s, the two parents tried to come up with a plan of how to catch Anna’s attacker – though the conversation soon turned into them reminiscing about the past.

When Anna arrived to tell them that she had been to the police and reported the attack, Cindy and George were thrilled, and the trio soon shared a close hug.

With Anna gone, Cindy insisted that she and George have one more drink, and though she was keen to stay longer after that, George was sure to shut it down, pointing out that it was for the best that they stayed away from each other and that she had Ian.

However, Cindy made it clear that it wasn’t Ian she wanted.

As George encouraged Cindy to leave via the front door so no one would see her and get the wrong idea, things took a turn as they began to compliment each other’s appearances.

Before things got too far, George sent Cindy away, but not before Junior watched her stroking George’s arm outside the front door.

Will Junior expose Cindy’s plot to win George back and ruin things for the Beales and the Knights?
