EastEnders’ Ben Mitchell dealt huge blow as escape plan is thwarted
Ben failed to consider the most important thing - again
BEN Mitchell’s prison escape plan has been foiled in EastEnders.
The criminal – who is played by actor Max Bowden in the BBC soap – was planning on escaping justice by getting bail and then fleeing with daughter Lexi.
Viewers know he’s facing six years in prison for credit card fraud committed while in America last year.
And he faces extradition to America to face justice.
He drafted in dad Phil to help and after Phil offered to look after Lexi while Jay and Callum went to see Ben.
But it soon emerged that while Callum and Jay were with Ben, Phil was packing bags for Ben and Lexi to flee the country.
With Kathy working it out, she headed over to the flat with Honey and Billy to stop him.
Phil said: “Listen as soon as he gets bail, the two of them are out of here. Ben asked me to.”
Billy thundered: “You’re going to take my great granddaughter away from me, away from Jay, away from Callum.
“All because your stupid son messed up again.”
“What am I meant to do?” replied Phil. “He’s my boy. Kids need their dads.”
Kathy told him: “Whatever happens with Ben, we will get him through this. But not this. Not like this.”
Meanwhile at the court Ritchie filled Jay and Callum in on the decision to deny Ben bail.
She told them: “Ben says tell Lexi he loves her. They reckon he’s a flight risk so bail denied.
“They’ve already taken him down to the cells. I’m sorry Callum. Ben ain’t coming home.”
With his escape plan destroyed, what will Ben do before his exit from Walford?
