Dean Wicks staggered by fresh evidence as he faces jail for Keanu Taylor’s 𝕞urder in EastEnders

Dean is shocked by the evidence against him

Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) got quite the shock in recent EastEnders scenes when he was arrested for Keanu Taylor’s murder.

Keanu was stabbed to death on Christmas Day by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), before his body was buried beneath the café by the rest of The Six.

After weeks of trying to keep it under wraps, the floor of the café caved in and The Six came dangerously close to being discovered when Keanu’s body was found.

Police were quick to suspect Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) as the culprit, and the rest of The Six were thrown into chaos when she was arrested.

Suki Panesar and Kathy Beale (Balvinder Sopal and Gillian Taylforth) soon came up with a plan to keep hold of the murder weapon and use it to frame Linda should Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) turn on them.

When Linda found out, she put a stop to it by revealing that she planned on handing herself in, leaving Johnny completely horrified.

However, after learning that Dean had been tampering with daughter Jade Masood’s (Elizabeth Green) medication and had framed Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) for his crime, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) saw an opportunity to get rid of him for good.

As Stacey planted the murder weapon in his flat, the rest of The Six worked with Johnny to make their statements fit with Dean being the culprit, before Linda headed to the station to tell police that she had seen Dean dragging something heavy into the café on Christmas night.

Linda managed to convince the detective that she was telling the truth, and he had soon pulled Dean in for questioning, and released Sharon from custody.

Though Dean protested his innocence and tried to explain that he was being set up, police soon revealed that they had found what they believed to be the murder weapon in his flat.

In upcoming scenes, Dean is shocked when he is presented with even more evidence against him as his interrogation continues.

Viewers may remember that Dean was lurking in the Queen Vic just before Keanu’s death – could this be set to come out and get him in even deeper trouble?

With Dean in custody, Jean tries her best to comfort Jade, who struggles to comprehend Dean’s actions, while elsewhere The Six meet with Johnny to ensure their plan is watertight.

Will everything work in their favour?
