Beloved couple finally set for a reunion as they spend the night together in EastEnders

The two look set to reunite

EastEnders are to reunite Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) and Peter Beale (Thomas Law) in the fall out of her affair with Zack Hudson (James Farrar).

The couple have had somewhat of a rocky relationship over the years, first getting together as teens in 2007.

However, the pair split up last year (after a very quick reunion) when she visited him in France, and learnt that he’d kept the fact his mum Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) was still alive a secret.

Though they had previously discussed giving things a proper go, Lauren was horrified that Peter had kept such a huge secret from her and decided that she could no longer trust him.

When Lauren moved back to Walford in January, the pair talked about trying again with their relationship, but ultimately decided that they weren’t the right fit, much to Peter’s disappointment.

However, despite being the one who shut their relationship down, she showed dismay when he brought a date along to her 30th birthday celebration.

In upcoming scenes, after Britney Wainwright (Lola Campbell) exposed Lauren’s fling with Zack at his wedding to Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty), Lauren finds herself ostracised from her neighbours.

Peter’s mum Cindy (Michelle Collins) is first to chip in and offers her fair share of spiteful comments, but he’s keen to support her.

After all, all he’s ever wanted was their son Louie to have a stable family life.

Appreciative of her ex’s support, Lauren agrees to spend the night with him, but the next morning her presence isn’t well received.

Cindy continues on her act of hostility and upsets Peter with her rudeness, forcing him to threaten to move out if she can’t be civil with her grandson’s mother.

Later, Lauren thanks Peter for having her back during another difficult Walford week!

Could this be the start of something special between the two?
