Spoilers for next week reveal a worrying Stevie Mitchell twist as estranged son Billy Mitchell is left concerned. Elsewhere, there’s more worry for the Mitchell family as it’s revealed that Billy’s son Will is being blackmailed as he resorts to desperate measures to pay up.

Worrying Stevie Mitchell twist

Stevie made an unexpected return to Walford last month, leaving estranged son Billy both shocked and furious over the arrival. The character first debuted earlier this year at the funeral of Aunt Sal who passed away offscreen. He was warned away by Phil Mitchell, who was determined to keep him away from his cousin Billy. After fleeing, the character made his comeback last month and has been desperately trying to reunite with his estranged family.

In spoilers for next week, it’s Father’s Day in Albert Square and Stevie, Jack, Billy and Howie head to the group fishing trip with their sons. Wanting the boys to enjoy the great outdoors, Stevie confiscates Denzel, Will and Ricky’s phones to encourage them to reconnect with their dads.

However, Billy soon becomes concerned for his dad’s wellbeing when Stevie calls him by the wrong name. However, Billy’s worries about Stevie’s apparent memory lapse are soon forgotten when he’s left distracted by Will when he is forced to confiscate his phone once back in Walford. Is Stevie okay and what is Will hiding?

Blackmail horror

With Billy forced to confiscate Will’s phone, Stevie steps in to help diffuse the situation before he finds his grandson about to steal money from Honey’s purse. Will feigns innocence, but Stevie eyes a text on Will’s phone which tells a different story and forces him to reveal all – Will is being blackmailed in a shocking twist. Stevie then heads off to reveal all to Billy but he bottles it at the last minute and instead asks Mo for help…

Later in the week, Mo and Stevie sell stolen goods on the market to raise money for Will. The pair get off to a flying start, but it’s not long before Phil meddles and Honey and Billy put a stop to their unlicensed stall. By the end of the week, Lola’s fundraiser talent show is in full swing at The Vic, but Stevie isn’t in the mood to celebrate as he feels guilty for letting Will down. Despite their argument, Mo buoys up Stevie and the pair put on a magic act which is a roaring success. Later, the residents are horrified to learn that the fundraiser money has been stolen… what’s happened and who’s responsible?

Maya Houssain clues

Maya Houssain, played by Bharti Patel, made a debut last month in Walford and soon started an unlikely friendship with cab driver Harvey Monroe. The pair bonded over their mutual love of football, and Harvey was delighted to make another friend with similar interests after Rocky Cotton and Mitch Baker’s recent departures.

In spoilers for next week, Harvey and Maya go to lunch after Maya is stood up by a friend, but the conversation is soon soured when Harvey reveals the truth about his son Aaron’s criminal past when the pair discuss their families. Later in the week, Harvey worries he’s lost Maya as a friend when she doesn’t respond to his text, but elsewhere Maya is looking up details relating to Aaron’s previous criminal history…
