EastEnders dropped a clever Nish Panesar clue on Friday night’s episode.
During the latest episode, the Walford villain set his sights on Kat Slater following both of their marriage splits. Soap watchers will recall that Nish’s wife Suki finally left him for her partner Eve Unwin after his controlling and abusive behaviour led to dramatic scenes.
After years of hiding her true self, Suki ended her marriage to Nish and gave things a go with Eve, which obviously didn’t go down well with her husband. But with Suki having the support of Walford residents and her family, Nish has slowly realised he’s on his own and there’s no going back.

Meanwhile, Kat has called it quits with husband Phil Mitchell after his infidelity was exposed in dramatic scenes, where she finally learnt the truth about him sleeping with Emma Harding last year. On Friday night’s episode, Kat, who has moved in with Stacey Slater, drowned her sorrows in the Queen Vic before she was ordered to leave for getting verbally abusive.
Nish, who had also been in the pub, overheard the commotion and decided to check on Kat, who was drinking a bottle of vodka on a bench alone. As Nish checked in, Kat snapped: “Ain’t you learnt your lesson? People round here would rather bash you over the head than give you a cuppa!”
Soap watchers will recall this is a clever clue as on Christmas Day, Nish headed to the pub to confront Suki, and when she asked for a divorce and things didn’t go his way he turned violent. As he dragged her towards the doors no doubt ready to take his revenge, The Six battled to stop him hurting Suki and Denise attacked him by hitting him on the head with a bottle of Champagne.
It was clear that there was an ulterior motive at play… what has Nish got planned?
He was declared dead only for Suki to revive him, and Nish was left in a coma in hospital before waking up with memory loss of the day in question. Of course while he was unconscious, he missed the fact Keanu Taylor entered the pub and tried to flee with Sharon’s son Albie, before turning violent against her, which resulted in Linda Carter stabbing and killing him.
After the clever clue drop, Nish offered Kat a rent-free flat, claiming we all need a helping hand sometimes and he had a different attitude to life after his coma. Jean, Stacey and Phil were all left concerned for Kat after Nish’s offer but she ignored them and accepted the flat.
At the end of the episode, Kat headed to No.41 to join Nish for a drink where he assured her that his intentions are honourable but it was clear that there was an ulterior motive at play… what has Nish got planned?
