BBC EastEnders character returns to Walford and drops huge pregnancy bombshell
EastEnders will see the return of Nadine next week as she drops a huge bombshell on an unsuspecting Jay, who has been busy supporting Lola after Ben's exit
EastEnders will air a huge return next week – as one character returns to Walford.
Jay has been busy practicing for the marathon with Honey, as they prepare to honour the memory of his late wife Lola. However, Jay is left shocked when he receives a message from Nadine telling him she needs to speak to him urgently.
He isn’t keen to get back in contact with Nadine, who he grew closer to after the loss of his wife Lola. He confides in Gina next week, who tells him that he needs to find out what Nadine wants. He is hesitant about it but eventually decides to see her, where she drops the bombshell that she is pregnant with his baby. Jay doesn’t know what to do and rushes off.
The next day, Jay continues to struggle with the news Nadine has given him. She’s angry with him and explains to him he needs to not put his head in the sand, as she tells him why she decided not to tell him earlier.
Nadine has something to tell Jay
Gina – the only one who knows about the pregnancy – urges Jay to tells his family about what is going on. He says he will and calls Callum, Honey and Billy together as he prepares to tell them the news – but what will they say?
Nadine’s return comes hot on the heels of Ben Mitchell’s exit from the BBC soap, as Max Bowden departed his role.
Taking to Instagram as he reflected on his exit from the show, he wrote: “It’s been one hell of a ride! Thanks for taking Ben to your hearts and allowing my version into your lives. I had an amazing five years at @bbceastenders and learnt a hell of a lot about myself and the craft I love so dearly; it got me through some very hard personal times and I will be forever grateful!
“I really will never be able to thank everybody for the support enough, because the fans of the show are so passionate, caring, and invested and it enables us as actors to want to keep going and always be better; so I really do from the bottom of my heart appreciate every single person who has sent any sort of positivity my way over the last five years – I love you all.”
