BBC EastEnders airs sad exit as character leaves Walford for good – as another star returns

EastEnders characters waved goodbye to one Walford resident for good on the BBC soap on Thursday, moments after a confrontation amid a murder twist

EastEnders aired an exit on Thursday night, as Walford residents bid farewell to a character in sad scenes.

Jade Masood headed out of Walford for good in the latest episode of the BBC soap, after a showdown with her villainous father Dean Wicks. After tricking him into finally confessing the truth about him meddling with her medication to stop her from leaving, she declared they were done for good.

EastEnders could be lining up two exits from the BBC soap next week

In savage scenes she spat at her dad and told him to rot in hell, as she told him she believed he did kill Keanu Taylor despite him protesting his innocence. Viewers are aware that rapist Dean has been set up by Keanu’s real killer Linda Carter and The Six for the crime, with evidence appearing to suggest he was guilty.

Knowing exactly what Dean has been up to for the past few months to stop her from moving to Pakistan, to be with her mother Shabnam Masood, Jade questioned what else he was capable of. After he finally admitted to messing up her medication and making her sick, before pinning it on Jean Slater, Jade told her dad what she really thought of him.

After that, she spent time with Jean and others in The Vic knowing she would be leaving for a new life in a few hours. After thanking Jean, she also spoke with Linda and asked her if she thought her dad was a killer.

Linda was understandably awkward about this given she had set Dean up. Jade then told Linda she hoped she’d get closure, after Dean raped Linda in 2014 and did not face justice.

With that, Jade said her goodbyes and left Walford for good. As Jean, Harvey Monroe and others gathered outside the house, she said her goodbyes as Harvey drove her out of Walford. Just before she left, she shared a moment with Keanu’s sister Bernadette Taylor who made her return during the scenes.

Bernie had left for Spain to break the news of Keanu’s death to mum Karen Taylor and her family. On returning, Bernie and Jade shared a moment, with Jade feeling guilty over her father supposedly killing Bernie’s brother.
