Could Amit Sharma drop another bombshell about his brother's dєath?
AFTER making a shock arrival in the Dales, Amit Sharma confessed he was a secret witness to his brother Rishi’s passing.
In upcoming Emmerdale scenes, the character played by Anil Goutam is implored to come clean about what really happened.
ITV viewers have enough experience with life in the eponymous village to know that some secrets often hide another in the Dales.
But could this really be the case in Rishi Sharma’s tragic death?
Coming up, Rishi’s brother Amit is uneasy when his own son Suni (portrayed by Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana) urges him to tell the truth about the day Rishi died.
Will Amit really go through with it and finally reveal everything that happened at Holdgate Farm?
This remains to be seen but, in later scenes, Amit’s attempts to reconcile are unappreciated by his biological son Jai (Chris Bisson).
Having found a place to stay outside of Mill Cottage, Amit braces himself after former enemy Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) shows his support for the attempt to reconcile with Jai.
What is Amit hiding?
Rishi Sharma (played by soap legend Bhasker Patel) was found dead at the bottom of his staircase in late July, 2023, after seemingly falling to his death.
While many viewers of the Yorkshire-based drama initially believed he had been murdered, it was revealed later on that he had actually succumbed to an accidental fall.
The plot thickened once Amit showed up in Emmerdale and revealed that he was present when Rishi died.
At the time of his brother’s passing, Amit had shown up at Holdgate Farm and the pair of them had an argument about Rishi’s decision to tell Jai who his biological father really was.
Jai had only recently found out he’d been adopted by Rishi and was demanding more answers from him.
Both Rishi and Jai parted ways for the last time on a sour note but, despite this, the former was hellbent on attending his adoptive son’s wedding to Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy).
Amit insisted that Rishi simply fell but due to the secrecy of his visit to him, many soap watchers have speculated he could have pushed him.
