Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter left with painful injury after 𝕒ccident on set

Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter has been left with a painful injury after an accident with a prop on set.

The Chas Dingle actress took to Instagram to show off her grazed knee, before revealing that she had been ‘taken out by a Woolpack bench’.

However, she assured fans that she was fine, writing: ‘Don’t worry , it will all be seen on some bloopers show … although I’m not sure they have enough “bleeps“ to cover my potty mouth.’

Co-star Paula Lane, who’s character Ella Forster recently returned to the village, was quick to comment, saying: ‘Ouch! Hope you’re ok!’

In a witty response, Lucy pointed out which bench was the culprit, urging Paula to ‘keep your eyes open’.

Fans were also quick to show their support, with one hilariously pointing out that, ‘Where there’s blame there’s a claim!’

Someone else was slightly less sympathetic, teasing: ‘Hope the bench is ok Lucy lol.’

A day after the first post, Lucy shared a second picture, which revealed a huge bruise from the incident. Alongside the picture, she assured followers that ‘she’ll live’.

Kerry Wyatt actress Laura Norton was quick to celebrate, penning, ‘She lives!’, with a prayer emoji.

It’s been a dramatic year for Lucy’s on-screen alter ego Chas, who was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year.

Following the diagnosis, she underwent a double mastectomy, after which she struggled to adjust to her new normal.

However, after some encouragement from cousin Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), she decided to ditch her prostheses and be proud of her natural body.During this process, Chas also learnt that she was carrying a gene that could mean her brothers and son were also at risk.

After much persuasion, all three of them agreed to get tested, and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) also tested positive for the gene.
