Nugget receives major news in EastEnders as he recovers in hospital
Nugget Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) is forced to deal with the repercussions of his steroid abuse head on in EastEnders next week.
As viewers of the BBC One soap know, Nugget, alongside best pal Denzel (Jaden Ladega) has been hooked on the pills for months in a bid to improve his physique.
The situation spiralled beyond control this week during a boxing tournament at The Den when Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) began to poke fun at Nugget, resulting in him flipping out in rage. Zack Hudson (James Farrar) and Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) pulled the two lads apart, with Zack’s suspicions over steroid use piqued.
Denzel encouraged him to cool down for fears of their big secret being exposed.
Nugget gets some horrifying news
With both spooked by a fake ‘drugs testing’ sign put up in the gym, Nugget rushed off to find his mate, but instead spotted mum Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) kissing his grandfather Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry)!
Don’t worry, we were grossed out too.
The situation came as quite a shock – so much so he darted in the opposite direction, and with the effects of the drugs in full throttle, he collapsed on the floor and was rushed to hospital.
Around his bedside, Priya and Ravi were informed that he may need long-term dialysis to recover.
Riddled with guilt, Denzel was forced to confess to Zack about their actions and later, Ravi reported him to the police – later being arrested for supplying Class C drugs.
Elsewhere, Priya was left to pick up the pieces after Nugget confessed he spotted her kissing his Dadaji. Nish asserted that they had little to lose and should go public with their relationship – much to her horror.
Believing that she could have a chance to reconnect with Ravi, she told Nish that what they had was nothing but a fling, and he became hell-bent on wrecking her life.
Heading home, he exposed everything to his son and once again was left succeeding in his reign of terror over the Panesar clan.
In upcoming scenes, Denzel finds himself clashing with Avani (Aaliyah James) and ex-girlfriend Amy (Ellie Dadd), and instead of going to school he hits the ring instead… and starts to experience internal pains.
Will he be next to be hospitalised?
Later, he talks to Nugget, who tells him it’s dangerous to go cold turkey…
Oh dear.
Priya has her own worries over Nugget’s condition, and doing her best to explain herself, accidentally drops the bombshell that he’s going to require dialysis.
How will he react to the news?
