ITV Emmerdale’s Laurel Thomas star rushed to hospital after horror š¯•’ccident
Charlotte Bellamy shocked Lorraine as she shared her ordeal
Emmerdale’s Charlotte Bellamy has revealed the horror injury she suffered on set.
The soap star has played Laurel Thomas in the fictional Yorkshire village since 2002. In that time she has been at the centre of some huge stories, including her battle with alcoholism, and the death of her much loved husband Ashley.
Laurel remains just as important to the show as ever and appeared on today’s edition of Lorraine. The 51-year-old shocked Lorraine when she spoke about the time she chopped the top of her finger off while filming a scene on the show.
She said: “During filming, I was making a bolognese with a very blunt knife. I was chopping and, on the take, I chopped the top of my finger off. At the time, I was pretend pregnant as Laurel so I had to get rushed into A&E with the prop man and my pretend bump.
“They were so confused and were more worried about my baby, but obviously my baby wasn’t real.” Lorraine was baffled by the ordeal as she said: “That’s bonkers.”
Charlotte is the proud mum to three children and revealed there has been a new addition to the family as they have just bought a new puppy. She laughed: “I’ve got two cockapoos now so I’m becoming a mad dog lady. As my kids get older, I just get more dogs.”
