Home and Away casts newcomer Perri for Tane Parata storyline
Tane will take Perri under his wing.
Home and Away has cast Surviving Summer star Cantona Stewart as a new arrival to Summer Bay.
It’s been announced that Stewart is joining the Australian soap as a troubled teen named Perri, who will be taken under Tane Parata’s wing after he arrives in the Bay to join Tane’s new programme for youths who have been in trouble with the law.
The actor recently wrapped filming his scenes as Perri, with the character set to arrive on UK screens later this year. Perri has been confirmed as a long-term guest role for a duration of six months.
Stewart is perhaps best known for his role as Prawni in Netflix’s Australian teen series Surviving Summer. He also previously featured in the first season of ABC drama Harrow.
Perri isn’t the only newcomer set to arrive in Summer Bay this year, as it was announced back in March that Titans star Joshua Orpin has joined the cast as a new “bad boy” character.
The actor, who plays Superboy in the DC action series, previously teased that his character will “stir up some trouble” for the locals.
“He is a bit of a bad boy who comes into the show and stirs up some trouble among the Summer Bay locals,” he explained.
“He is seemingly one thing on the surface but he has a great depth to him I’ve had a lot of fun exploring.”
