Home and Away’s Tane Parata risks his future after Felicity shock
He's threatened with another court appearance after snubbing his lawyer.
Home and Away‘s Tane Parata risks making his legal troubles even worse next week as he refuses to accept help from his new lawyer Marshall.
Tane takes on a stubborn stance after discovering that his ex-wife Felicity Newman has slept with Marshall.
As Tane reacts badly to the revelation and wrongly accuses Felicity of deliberately playing games, he gets distracted and misses his scheduled bail check-in at the police station.
Rose Delaney gives Tane a fair chance to provide a valid reason for his no-show. Not wanting to disclose the latest drama in his personal life, Tane stays silent.
In next week’s episodes on Channel 5, Felicity and Marshall take a walk together and reflect on how their one-night stand has clearly hurt Tane’s feelings.
Neither had been aware of the other’s identity when they gave into temptation, so they agree that it’s best to keep it as a one-off now they know the truth.
Harper Matheson then approaches the pair with good news. She reveals that baby Poppy’s mother Sonia has agreed to testify in court on Tane’s behalf when he stands trial for kidnap.
Marshall is left with a renewed sense of hope for Tane’s future, but his optimism crumbles when Rose calls to let him know that his client is in big trouble again.
At the station, Rose warns Tane that he’ll have to explain his no-show to a magistrate if he’s not prepared to be honest with her soon.
Marshall arrives to reason with Tane, who makes a jibe about him sleeping with Felicity when he should have been focusing his efforts on the case.
Although Marshall insists that he’s just trying to help, Tane fires him and tells him to leave. As tensions between the two men reach a boiling point, Rose has to put Tane in a cell to cool off.
Later, Harper, Felicity, Marshall and Rose all team up to make a last-ditch plea to Tane. They remind him that he’ll be in court the next morning if he doesn’t speak up for himself soon.
Tane finally swallows his pride, asking Marshall to find a way to get him out. Is there still a way to salvage the situation?
