Sharon and Linda plot to stop Callum in EastEnders – and will do whatever it takes

Callum’s becoming very suspicious

Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) will be forced to rethink their plan to keep the murder of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) a secret in EastEnders next week – as Callum Highway (Tony Clay) becomes suspicious.

Alongside co-conspirators Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth) the women have tried since Christmas to keep their involvement in his death a secret.

However, before long, Linda’s son Johnny (Charlie Suff) became aware of their actions and helped to conceal the murder weapon, and following Denise’s mental health breakdown over the incident, her civil partner Jack (Scott Maslen) found out.

In upcoming scenes, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) is dismayed to learn that Callum hasn’t invited him to speak with Ben (Max Bowden) on a video link to his prison in America.

Emotional that he’s not going to be able to speak with his son on Father’s Day, Phil tries his luck with getting access to Albie, who he fathered with Sharon. She can see how hurt he is by Callum’s behaviour and urges him to consider otherwise.

However, in a huge twist, he begins to question her on her relationship with Keanu and the events surrounding his death. Things go from bad to worse when he begins to ask about Dean Wicks’s (Matt Di Angelo) involvement, who, of course, was actually framed for the murder by the women.

Eventually agreeing to allow Phil to chat with Ben, Callum heads to No. 55 for the call and voices his suspicions about Sharon’s involvement.

With her adamant that there’s nothing to tell, Phil decides to confront Linda upfront in a bid to get the truth – but the women have already pre-warned one another of his intentions.

Callum begins to use his work connections to speak with detectives that worked on the case, which forces The Six, alongside Johnny and Jack, to think up their next actions.

Jack, a fellow copper, tries to deter him but Johnny becomes convinced it isn’t enough and puts the wheels in motion to use Ben’s absence as a means to through him off the scent.

Speaking of the story, Tony Clay told us: ‘Johnny and Jack both know about Christmas and what happened with The Six, and they both try in their own ways to deter Callum from going any further in his investigation.

‘There’s a really nice scene between Callum and Johnny where Callum opens up and admits that he does miss Ben, and that kind of makes Callum rethink

‘Jack also puts him on a new case, so Callum has got a new distraction, and he also feels like he’s got his suspicions off his chest for now.’
