What is Maya Hussain up to? Sinister EastEnders plot ‘confirmed’ as Harvey Monroe falls into a 𝕕angerous trap
Maya is certainly up to something
Harvey Monroe (Ross boatman) recently made friends with Maya Hussain (Bharti Patel) in EastEnders, after Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) expressed her concerns that he didn’t have any – but he may be set to fall into a sinister trap.
With besties Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) and Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley) having left, Maya arrived at just the right time, and they soon began to bond over their love of Tottenham Hotspurs.
However, when Harvey lost Maya’s number, he asked Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) to track her down – which didn’t go down well with her.
When Harvey ran into her on the Square, she made it clear that she didn’t like being ‘stalked’ on social media.
Maya is certainly up to something
Thankfully, Harvey managed to win her back around with cocktails, but after she’d left he noticed that her social media accounts had been deleted.
In more recent scenes, Harvey and Maya met up again, where he brought up her deleted accounts, explaining that he wanted to return the hat she’d left behind.
Maya was quick to explain that she had been targeted online by scammers, who knew that she was a widow and therefore more vulnerable.
She had previously opened up to Harvey about the death of her husband, as well as revealing that he too had been a taxi driver.
This instantly got fans questioning her motives, as they soon picked up on a possible connection between her and Harvey’s son, Aaron.
Aaron Monroe was involved in a far-right gang during his time on the Square, and in 2021 ended up attacking a taxi driver called Mr Hussain.
Fans have wondered if this man was Maya’s husband, and she is out to get revenge on Harvey.
Following their discussion about Maya’s deleted accounts, Harvey seemed very empathetic, and just happened to miss the cold expression that crossed Maya’s face.
Is this confirmation that she is up to something sinister, and could it leave Harvey in danger?
