Home and Away to air exit plot for Valerie Beaumont
Theo's 𝕕rugs arrest proves to be the final straw for her time in the Bay.
Home and Away will air exit scenes for Valerie Beaumont in the UK next week, after her and Theo Poulos’ drugs secret is discovered by Leah Patterson.
Ever since Valerie and Theo got together, and Valerie introduced her boyfriend to drugs, his loved ones have been concerned by the changes in his behaviour. With Justin Morgan and Kirby Aramoana now aware of what’s been going on, the couple very much appear to be on borrowed time.
As next week arrives, Theo goes searching for Valerie, but his bandmate Kirby has little sympathy for him. She questions whether Justin and Leah know that the entire band got arrested thanks to Valerie, after she hid her pills in one of their guitar cases.
When Theo finally catches up with Valerie, he fills her in on what’s happened – announcing that if she wants his guitar case, she won’t find it, as it’s now in the police impound.
When Kirby comes across the pair together, she’s insistent that they tell Justin the truth, but the couple are full of protests. When Valerie decides to give the friends some space, Kirby questions him on his priorities, asking why his feelings for Valerie don’t seem to have changed despite the fact that she’s thrown them all under the bus.
Angry Kirby later corners Valerie and challenges her on whether she even cares about Theo at all.
When Valerie finds Theo again, she thanks him for taking the rap for the seized pills, insisting that if she handed herself in, the police would just think she was covering for him.
Despite the tense atmosphere, the couple end up kissing, but are interrupted by an annoyed Justin, who says that he thought he had made himself clear about wanting Valerie gone.
When Theo suggests to Justin that they need to talk, Justin agrees – he wants to know why the van was impounded by the cops. While he’s grilling the couple, Leah walks in and wonders what’s going on.
Fed up, Justin puts Valerie on the spot, ordering her to tell Leah how she almost ruined Theo’s life by getting him into drugs. With Leah in shock, it all gets too much for Valerie and she runs off.
When Kirby later finds Valerie crying on the beach, she puts her anger aside and offers a listening ear. Valerie admits that she has a drug problem, adding that she cares for Leah hugely and that feeling like a part of her family has meant a lot to her. When Kirby encourages her to be honest with her friend, Valerie goes to beg Leah for forgiveness.
Unfortunately, Leah’s response isn’t what she’d hoped for, as Leah firmly tells her that she needs to leave. She urges Valerie to go back to the clinic where they met to get more help, but Valerie declines.
Valerie later shares a heartfelt goodbye with Theo as Leah and Justin watch on. While Theo is keen to stay in touch with her, Valerie knows that it isn’t a good idea, as she’s already caused his family too much pain.
She’s soon driving away from Summer Bay for good, leaving Theo heartbroken.
Later in the week, Justin returns home with news, revealing that Valerie has handed herself in and so the drug charges against Lyrik have been dropped. Theo is desperate to go and visit Valerie, but Leah’s quick to remind him that she isn’t his problem anymore.
Will Theo be able to get over his devastation?
These scenes will air on Channel 5 in the UK on Tuesday, June 4, Wednesday, June 5 and Thursday, June 6.
