EastEnders spoilers: Kat Slater rejects romantic date with Alfie Moon – and takes someone else

Kat Slater and Alfie Moon (Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie) have a complicated history in EastEnders, having got together and split up again countless times over the years.

Though they are both currently single and co-habiting, Kat has made it quite clear that they are nothing more than friends, much to Alfie’s disappointment.

Alfie isn’t the only one who wants them to reunite, with son Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) previously encouraging him to tell Kat how he truly feels.

Following Alfie’s battle with prostate cancer, Tommy urged him to fight for what he really wanted, having battled so hard to survive.

Kat isn’t having any of it!

Unfortunately, just as he built up the courage to tell Kat how he felt, their conversation was interrupted and he lost his nerve.

When Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) returned to the Square a few days later, he was left feeling put out when he realised that Kat had taken his room in Alfie’s flat.

However, when he and Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) began teasing Kat about her relationship with Alfie, she decided to move out and let Freddie have his room back after all.

Not one to stand in the way of true love – even if Kat can’t see it herself – Freddie put a stop to her move, pointing out that it was clear she still loved Alfie, which she vehemently denied, of course.

Determined to reunite Kat and Alfie once and for all, Freddie decides to book them a voucher for a spa break, hoping that the alone time together will spark up some of their lost passion.

Unfortunately, he doesn’t think things through and gives the voucher straight to Kat, who ditches Alfie and invites Big Mo (Laila Morse) instead.

With things having not gone to plan, will Freddie find another way to matchmake Kat and Alfie?

Will #Kalfie ever reunite, or are they really done for good?
