Whitney Dean’s final EastEnders exit scenes revealed at last – and she cuts three people out of her life forever

Whitney waved Walford goodbye

This article contains spoilers for Thursday’s (May 23) EastEnders, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.

Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) has finally waved Walford goodbye – and cut three people out of her life in the process.

Over the years, Whitney has faced a lot of ups and downs on Albert Square, but she has finally decided that it is time to start fresh elsewhere, with daughters Dolly Dean-Hudson and Britney Wainwright (Lola Campbell).

Tragically, just last week Whitney had everything she’d ever wanted: A loving fiancé, children of her own and Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) by her side.

However, that all came crashing down in true EastEnders style this week when Britney dropped a huge bombshell in the middle of Whitney and Zack Hudson’s (James Farrar) wedding ceremony, revealing that he’d slept with Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa).

Your fiancé sleeping with your best friend? That’s rough.

Lauren and Zack ended up in bed together after both having huge rows with Whitney, following the revelation that she had paid Keeley Wainwright (Kirsty J Curtis) to bring Britney home.

It didn’t take long for guilty Zack to accidentally admit the betrayal to Bianca, who was livid.

However, she decided to keep quiet in a bid to protect Whitney’s feelings – until another huge row before her wedding changed everything.

Unable to stand Lauren being treated as a hero in Whitney’s eyes, Bianca put pressure on her to tell the truth, though Lauren’s confession was interrupted by the sudden arrival of baby Dolly.

At the hospital, Lauren and Zack decided never to tell Whitney the truth, but the decision was soon taken out of their hands when Britney overheard everything.

Following her discovery of their betrayal, Whitney decided it would be best for her to leave London, and soon informed Britney that they would be staying with Ryan Malloy in Wakefield for a while, and that he had already secured her a place in a local school.

Horrified that she was taking Dolly away, Zack retaliated by revealing that Bianca had known about his cheating all along, which left Whitney feeling disgusted.

Furious, she insisted that Bianca was no longer welcome to come with her up north, which left her heartbroken.

Later, Whitney informed Lauren about her move, pointing out that she had lost a friend, before giving Zack one last chance to say goodbye to his daughter.

Zack tearfully bid baby Dolly farewell, before later joining Bianca and Lauren in the Square to watch Whitney leave, as she cut them off forever.
