Emmerdale signs Waterloo Road villain in major new role – and it’s bad news for the Dingles
THE villain is set to cause chaos on another soap
EMMERDALE has signed up a Waterloo Road villain for a major new role – and it’s bad news for the Dingles.
Actor Osian Morgan found fame as villain Myles Massey in the BBC One school drama, The Sun can exclusively reveal.
And after setting the school alight – literally with an arson attack as Myles – the actor is swapping soaps and joining the ITV rival in a huge new role.
A source said: “He’s coming in as a new pal who turns Samson Dingle’s head.
“They become firm friends and start to plan a big trip around Europe but this new lad puts the backs up of Lydia and Sam.
“He’s set to cause chaos in the dales.”
The Sun understands Osian will begin appearing on screen in the next few weeks for the summer.
It was recently revealed that Samson actor Sam Hall had been axed from the soap and will leave later this year in a dramatic storyline.
The actor, 20, has played Samson Dingle since he was five but has been told by producers that his character was being killed off.
Fellow cast members including his on-screen dad James Hooton, 50, have rallied to offer support.
A TV source told The Sun on Sunday: “Sam had a meeting with bosses earlier this month where they broke the news.
“He has been left devastated. He’s grown up with his on-screen Dingle clan and they are all very protective of him.
“Some of the cast even went to talk to bosses about their decision.”
“As news of his axing swept through the building there were quite a lot of angry Dingles.
“The fact that they are planning on killing him off means there’ll be no way back for him either.
“He’s absolutely gutted.”
Sam has tackled tough storylines on the soap including being a teen dad after a fling.
