Bree continues venting to Xander about her break-up with Remi. He’s a great support, and Bree is grateful – she doesn’t know what she’d do without him. When she lets Dana in on what’s been happening later, she offers her own show of support for Bree in the form of shots. They drink the afternoon away while Bree unpacks her grievances, and Dana eagerly commiserates that Bree’s ex is now dating a movie star.
Later, Xander helps an inebriated Bree leave the venue when she surprises him with a kiss. He politely resists, but Dana is coming downstairs behind them and looks on, devastated.
The next day, Dana talks through her jealousy with Irene. Bree goes to grovel to Xander and says that she’s sorry it happened. Xander accepts her apology, but not without a word of warning – she can’t use him to move on from Remi, there has to be a better way.
Meanwhile, John reassures Justin over the phone that everything’s on track for his accreditation as a marriage celebrant, while on the other end, Leah is desperate to find out the details of her own wedding. Justin teases her for being a control freak, but he won’t give anything away and it’s driving her to distraction.
When Leah can’t get can’t details out of the vendors, Marilyn steps in with an alternative solution – tarot cards. Leah agrees to a reading and Valerie’s on edge when Marilyn pulls the Seven of Swords. Marilyn warns Leah that someone is deceiving her.
Elsewhere, in spite of his own guilty conscience, Theo continues his deception when he tells Kirby he thinks they should play the wedding for free. Kirby immediately agrees, and Theo must swallow his regret as she easily accepts the lie. When she meets Justin later though, Kirby finds out about the money he gave Theo for equipment hire, and she’s instantly suspicious.
Theo confirms that he spent the money on drugs and Kirby confronts him for stealing from family and compromising the band. He assures her he’ll pay the money back, but when he tells Valerie that Kirby knows, she freaks out and goes to confront her head on. Kirby doesn’t mince her words – Valerie’s a drug addict and she needs help. When she threatens to take the pills away, it’s more than Valerie can bear, and she storms off with Theo in hot pursuit. Seeing no other option, Kirby goes to Justin – warning that they need to talk about Theo.
