Home and Away‘s Stevie Marlow is set to infuriate Cash Newman as a new romance story begins.
The film star recently hired Cash to be her bodyguard after she started being hassled by a stalker. The individual in question recently sent Stevie a suspicious teddy bear with a hidden camera inside.
Cash has since invited Stevie to stay with him after not being able to guarantee her safety when he’s not around. His decision was met with questions from his girlfriend Eden Fowler, who didn’t think it was a good idea.
In scenes set to air on Channel 5 on Tuesday, May 21 and Wednesday, May 22, Stevie sees Remi pull in on his motorbike as she’s having coffee at the front of Cash’s house. Cash quickly reprimands her for spending time in the front, where anyone could spot her.
Stevie agrees to go back inside, but a notification on her phone soon changes everything — she’s been invited to audition for a rom-com she’s always wanted and can’t pass up the opportunity.
However, Cash is adamant Stevie can’t go as he can’t guarantee her safety. He is shocked when Stevie eventually agrees, but she soon reveals to Felicity that she’s not one to give up at the first hurdle.
Stevie’s plan becomes clear when she reveals she’s going to submit a self-tape for the audition. She asks Cash to be her scene partner, but when he refuses, she ropes in Remi. The pair then head to his place to film, with sparks evidently flying between them.
After sharing a few beers, Stevie rehearses a kiss with Remi, before the scene becomes real and they fall into each other’s arms. As the pair are lying in bed together, a worried Cash realises Stevie has left his house.
Cash leaves Stevie a string of panicked voicemails as he prepares to go and find her. Suddenly, his phone pings and he sees a selfie of Stevie in bed with Remi, which she has posted on social media for the world to see.
An angry Cash later drags Stevie back home and warns her not to leave the house and not to post pictures of herself online, before admitting he thought the stalker had taken her.
Stevie is unsurprisingly resistant to Cash’s demands, before Felicity suggests she either listen to Cash or fire him.
Stevie then realises her mistake and apologises to Cash, promising to be more careful going forward. Cash is glad they have finally reached a compromise.
