Distressed Elaine Peacock hands George Knight over to Cindy Beale in EastEnders – and issues a serious warning

Elaine gives Cindy a shocking choice

Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) was left reeling when she found out the truth about George Knight and Cindy Beale’s (Colin Salmon and Michelle Collins) kiss in recent EastEnders scenes.

While struggling to cope with Gloria’s death and Eddie’s sentencing, George turned to underground fighting, much to Cindy’s horror.

After taking him back to the Boxing Den to talk through everything, Cindy and George ended up kissing – something which Cindy was prepared to use against George to get him to stop risking his life.

Despite being told by doctors that one more knock to the head would be enough to kill him, after being diagnosed with Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy as a result of his years of fighting, George refused to give it up.

Terrified that daughters Gina and Anna Knight (Francesca Henry and Molly Rainford) may end up losing their dad, Cindy threatened to reveal all to Elaine if George stepped into the ring.

Little did she know, Elaine overheard everything!

More recently, Elaine was left devastated when she realised that she would only ever come second to Cindy in George’s eyes, and finally decided to break off their engagement, sending George packing.

In upcoming scenes, Gina and Anna are quick to warn mum Cindy to keep her distance from George, but shockingly Elaine has a different message entirely.

After overhearing Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and the Knight girls gossiping about her current relationship woes, Elaine warns them to butt out, before heading over to see Cindy.

In a surprising turn of events, Elaine tells Cindy that George is hers if she wants him!

However – and perhaps even more surprisingly – Cindy insists that she only has eyes for one man, and that’s Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt).

With Cindy’s mind made up, Elaine issues a firm warning to stay away from George once and for all.

Has Cindy made the right decision, or will she come to regret her choice?
