Broken teen Amy Mitchell has devastating experience as she and Denzel Danes try to have 𝕤ex in EastEnders

Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) made a huge decision in recent EastEnders scenes when she decided to ask boyfriend Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) to have sex with her.

Amy and Denzel have been dating for over a year, but recently Amy has felt rejected as a result of Denzel’s new fitness obsession.

Denzel was left struggling with body image issues after an encounter with bully Logan which saw Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) get hurt, and he has since been doing everything he can to ‘bulk up’ – including taking anabolic steroids.

After growing concerned that he was getting too close for comfort with influencer Ebony, as well as other girls from school, Amy confided in half-sister Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) that she wanted to take their relationship to the next level.

Amy was left devastated by Denzel

At Denzel’s party, Amy invited him upstairs, and the pair agreed that it was the right time for them to sleep together, as they were in love.

However, things didn’t quite go to plan, and Denzel was left embarrassed when he had difficulties due to his steroid use.

Amy was quick to try and make him feel better, by pointing out that they were drunk, nervous about it being their first time and that Denzel had been putting a lot of pressure on himself in the gym recently.

Though Amy was happy to just get back to the party and try again another time, it was clear that Denzel was rattled by what had happened, and he ended up snapping at her to stop blaming him.

Though Amy argued that she had repeatedly said that it wasn’t his fault, he insisted that he wasn’t to blame, leaving Amy wondering if it was her fault.

As she questioned whether or not he fancied her, Denzel urged her to drop the conversation, which just upset her more.

She emotionally pointed out that this was the first time he had seen her scars properly, and when she asked if that was why things hadn’t gone to plan, Denzel didn’t answer.

Viewers will remember that Amy suffered with her mental health for several months, and ended up self-harming. After being hospitalised on one occasion, Amy’s family helped her to get help, and she has since been trying different therapies to help with her mental health.

Upset at Denzel’s lack of response, Amy fled from the room, leaving furious Denzel kicking himself.
