KAT Slater will soon be left contemplating if there is a future for her and her ex Alfie again in EastEnders.
The Walford icon has seen her fair share of romances, marriages and one-night-stands on the BBC soap but nothing will ever compare to her feelings for Alfie.
Despite having been parted for many years, fans have been longing for the former lovers to reunite and get back together for good.
Instead they watched Kat marry Phil before enjoying a steamy fling with Nish Panesar.
However, Kat finds herself single and longing for male attention and affection these days.
With no new romances on the horizon, will Kat be forced to head back in time in order to get her love life buzzing once more?
In upcoming scenes, EastEnders fans will see how Kat deals with finding out a bombshell piece of information.
BBC viewers will see how Kat organises a celebratory meal for Alfie as a result of his hormone therapy coming to an end.
She decides to take him and their boys to Walford East in a bid to celebrate the good news.
Alfie is left totally surprised by her warm gesture.
Later on, their son Tommy asks Alfie about his true feelings and intentions towards Kat.
Tommy has picked up on Alfie’s pattern of behaviour and is left asking his father if he wants to reconcile with Kat for good.
Having already picked up on how Alfie feels, Tommy decides that the time is know to play matchmaker between the pair.
He opts to take the twins home allowing Kat and Alfie to be alone with one another.
As the pair chat, they are soon interrupted by Reiss who disturbs them.
Just what exactly will come of the pair and will they be able to find a way back together?
