Anna Knight devastated as reaching out to long-lost brother Junior backfires in EastEnders
George Knight's oldest child is making his Walford debut
ANNA Knight is set for crushing disappointment in EastEnders scenes airing this week.
Following the death of adoptive grandmother Gloria (Elizabeth Counsell), Anna leaves a message for older half-brother Junior in upcoming scenes.
Former Emmerdale actor Micah Balfour has joined the BBC soap as Junior Knight, the son of George Knight (Colin Salmon) from his first marriage.
Although his family arrived last year, Junior is joining them for the first time.
In scenes due to air this week, Anna (Molly Rainford) leaves Junior a message following the death of their adoptive grandmother Gloria (Elizabeth Counsell).
George had discovered Gloria and adoptive father Eddie (Christopher Fairbank) had been lying to him his whole life.
Their deception included covering up Eddie’s role in the death of George’s biological father, Henry Kofi Asare.
Meanwhile, George learned his parents were not Jamaican, as he’d been led to believe but were actually West African migrants who’d given him up.
Despite all that had happened, George had been starting to forgive Gloria when she collapsed and subsequently died of a sudden heart attack.
In scenes set to air this week, George is devastated when he learns Eddie has held Gloria’s funeral without telling him.
Anna and Gina decide to instead hold a memorial for Gloria in The Vic, with Anna inviting Junior to join them.
The girls are unfortunately left feeling short-changed as Junior no-shows on the day.
In fact, he is not even the first long-lost relative to return to Anna and Gina’s lives during their time in EastEnders.
The sisters also reconnected with their mother, who left the family after a heated argument in 2014.
Having believed their mother to be Rose Knight, she was revealed to actually be Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), who was previously believed to have died in 1998.
Cindy left the family after she inadvertently compromised her witness protection.
