EastEnders favourite diagnosed with brain condition that could đť•‚ill him

It’s been quite the year for George Knight (Colin Salmon) so far in EastEnders.

After welcoming his adoptive parents to Walford, George discovered Eddie (Christopher Fairbank) and Gloria (Elizabeth Counsell) only adopted him as part of a process called child farming.

From thereon in George seemed to receive bad news after bad news. He learnt that Eddie was facing trial for murder, and then discovered the victim was his biological father Henry.

Most recently, after being part of the trial that ultimately sent Eddie to prison, George said goodbye to Gloria, who died after experiencing a heart attack.

George has to go to the hospital

In upcoming episodes of the BBC One soap, George is devastated when his daughters break the news that Eddie held Gloria’s funeral without even telling him.

As George contacts Rufus to arrange a fight, Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) and Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) contact their half-brother Junior about holding a memorial in the pub for Gloria.

When the day of Gloria’s memorial arrives, George is nursing some bad injuries from his fight the night before. After Anna and Gina realise Junior isn’t coming, things get even worse when George gets dizzy and almost collapses.

Realising what’s happening, Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) insist he goes to the hospital.

When George arrives, he has a CAT scan and is told he has a brain condition linked to repeated blows to the head. The doctor then tells George that one bad knock has the potential to kill him.

Back at home, Cindy watches George get approached by Rufus, who gives him last night’s cash and the offer of another fight.

Later in the week, Cindy is upset that Anna and Gina aren’t talking to her because she kept George’s secret from them.

During a tense conversation, George initially rejects Cindy’s suggestion of online therapy, but eventually manages to talk him round.

Sadly, it’s clear George has no intention of stopping the boxing, as he’s then seen ringing Rufus to arrange another fight.

He tells Cindy what he intends to do but, taking action, she gives him an ultimatum.

If George enters the ring again, what consequences will it have?
