Emmerdale’s Tom King cheats on Belle Dingle with Gabby Thomas to deliberately destroy her?
It wouldn’t surprise us!
Tom King (James Chase)’s behaviour is escalating disturbingly in Emmerdale as his manipulative and controlling actions towards new wife Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) have led him to acts of violence.
We already know that Tom is capable of physical aggression after he pushed Belle before they were married and she hit her head. Belle forgave him on that occasion because his manipulative behaviour draws her back in as he makes her feel that everything is her fault.
After getting paranoid about where she might be going and who she might be seeing he recently started tracking her movements using an app and he’s also installed a camera in the house so he can watch her.
Meanwhile he’s made Belle feel vulnerable by pretending they had a burglary in their home – to cover for the fact that he’s smashed the place up in a rage – and by kidnapping her dog and hiding it away at the vet’s to get Vinny (Bradley Johnson) into trouble for not looking after it in an attempt to isolate her from her friend Vinny.
It wouldn’t surprise us!
Tom’s jealousy of Vinny recently erupted into violence after Tom, away on a business trip, was watching the hidden camera and saw Vinny arrive to see Belle.
As he set off home he was trying to track Belle on the app but couldn’t at first find her. Her phone had broken, so Vinny had taken it to the scrapyard to fix it. When Tom finally saw the signal for Belle’s phone it led him to the scrapyard.
Vinny returned to the portacabin and in a panic Tom hit him over the head with a paperweight, leaving him unconscious and bleeding on the floor.
When Belle sees Vinny looking battered and bruised she stays to care for him, much to Tom’s irritation. He deliberately belittles Vinny, but then changes tack in a sinister move.
Belle is worried when she sees Tom apparently bonding with Vinny, as she knows he must be up to something.
Tom decides that what’s needed is to find Vinny a girlfriend and gets involved in helping him find somebody. He decides Gabby (Rosie Bentham) is the perfect person.
In a twist, however, it seems that Tom is enjoying spending time with Gabby and when Belle sees them together she can’t help but feel uncomfortable and insecure.
Could Tom really be prepared to use Gabby as part of his sick campaign against Belle?
