Whitney Dean neglects her baby as newcomer Britney causes chaos in EastEnders
Lauren insisted Whitney tell Zack the truth about Britney - but will she listen?
WHITNEY Dean neglects her baby as newcomer Britney causes chaos in EastEnders.
The teen arrived in Walford with Whitney recently, after they grew close during Whitney’s stay in Milton Keynes earlier this year.
Whitney has been desperate to give Britney a better life and paid Britney’s mum Keeley to take her off her hands, a fact she has been keeping from partner Zack Hudson.
But in upcoming EastEnders scenes, Britney has a bike accident and is rushed to A&E.
Zack and Whitney are shocked to discover that Britney has Type 2 Usher Syndrome following their trip to the hospital, and are devastated when the doctor shares that the condition will lead to sight and hearing impairments.
Whitney is devastated as she tries to learn more about Britney’s condition, but Zack worries that the added stress is too much for Whitney whilst she’s pregnant.
Zack and Whitney send Britney to her first day at school but when Zack suggests enrolling her at the GP and telling them about Britney’s condition, Whitney lies and insists she’s already done it fearing the truth will be exposed.
Later, Whitney tries to persuade Sonia to bypass the checks required to register Britney, and is left with no option but to haul Keeley to the GP to sign her up.
Later, Whitney misses a scan when Britney’s school call to inform her that her hearing aids aren’t working, leading to an argument with Zack back at home.
Lauren persists that Whitney must tell Zack about Britney’s fostering as she pleads for a few more days.
The pair exchange some tense words in the Minute Mart but Zack overhears and demands answers.
Whitney covers which Zack accepts leaving Lauren seething. Whitney and Lauren find a downtrodden Britney who later reveals that she had a run in with bullies on the way to school.
Whitney ignores Zack’s advice and finds the bully in question, but she makes the situation worse when Britney is teased about Whitney’s intervention.
Will the stress of it all cause further problems for pregnant Whitney?
