Yolande filled with dread as vile Pastor Clayton invades her personal space yet again in sinister EastEnders scenes
He has no remorse
Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) was recently sexually assaulted by Pastor Clayton (Howard Saddler) in EastEnders.
The beloved character spent the entire day getting ready for a church fundraiser with the Pastor, someone she saw as friend.
When the event got underway, Yolande headed into a storeroom and was then faced with the Pastor. He entered behind her, locked the door and assaulted her.
In the aftermath, Yolande opened up to friend Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) and begged her not to say anything. Yolande was terrified of the reaction from the church community, whether she’d even be believed, and the impact it would have on Patrick (Rudolph Walker).
He has no remorse
In upcoming episodes of the BBC One soap, the struggle understandably continues for Yolande.
When Yolande suggests not attending church for the foreseeable, Pastor Clayton and Patrick are in agreement she should continue practicing her faith anyway.
Later in the week, Yolande is overcome with dread at attending a prayer group and is further troubled after Pastor Clayton invades her personal space again.
She returns home to a romantic evening that’s been prepared by Patrick, but his loving advances are triggering for Yolande, so she rushes out and leaves her partner puzzled by the reaction.
But will Yolande continue to keep quiet?
If Patrick recognises something is wrong, how will he react if Yolande tells him the truth?
