Emmerdale’s Kerry Wyatt betrayed as daughter Amy’s wedding is ruined in shock plot

THE barmaid found herself conned and she doesn't even know it yet

EMMERDALE’S Kerry Wyatt ruins daughter Amy’s wedding day tonight – but for once it isn’t her fault.

The barmaid – who is played by actress Laura Norton in the ITV soap – had been promising to pay Amy and Matty’s extravagant wedding by selling a necklace she received from her ex-fiancee.

However when she tried to sell it to Eric Pollard she was told it was worth just £60, leaving her unable to pay for the wedding.

In tonight’s episode Kerry finally confessed to not having the money to fund the wedding, meaning the nuptials had been cancelled.

Amy was devastated and ran into the street to tell Matty who Kim was just about to break the news to.

But as Kerry followed and tried to blame Kim for cancelling everything, Amy lost it.

“Are you seriously trying to blame her for all this?” she raged.

“I knew something like this was going to happen. I asked you over and over again if everything was OK and you promised us that it was.

“I let myself believe that maybe just this once you would make sure everything was OK but you ruin everything that you touch. I don’t know why I thought this would be any different.”

She added: “Go home, pack your bags and get the hell out of my life because I don’t want anything more to do with you.”

Back at the cottage, a devastated Kerry was comforted by Eric who told her that there was a way to save the wedding.

He stepped in to pay for the wedding – although Kim was rightly suspicious of his motives – and he walked Amy down the aisle.

Meanwhile Kerry was forced to watch from the sidelines after Amy banned her from attending.

Back in the village Eric gave Kerry some money to pay for a night in the B&B before slipping into a waiting Range Rover where the truth was revealed.

Eric had conned Kerry having set her up with a antiques dealer pal to pay her a pittance for the necklace she was trying to sell – while they pocketed thousands between them.

“I’m still here, life in the old dog yet,” said Eric as he collected his share of the cash.

But will Eric’s villainy be exposed?
