Charity Dingle has a desperate plea for her loved ones in Emmerdale

Charity makes a desperate plea

Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) has been in a much better place lately in Emmerdale, but things are still not quite right with her family.

Recently, her mind has been well off her troubles while she’s been acting as Chas Dingle’s (Lucy Pargeter) rock in the wake of her double mastectomy.

Instead of focusing on her own issues, Charity has been busying herself comforting Chas as she adjusts to her ‘new normal’, even playing match maker by attempting to set her cousin up with the local GP (even if it did backfire).

But all that means is that things are not yet fixed. In the background bubbles her PTSD, which only weeks ago led her to accidentally – and almost mortally – stab Mack (Lawrence Robb) in the gut while in the throes of a night terror.

After the incident, she considered herself too dangerous for her family to be around and insisted everyone move out to give her space, and told Mackenzie she was no good for him. She pushed them all away, particularly the kids.

But she couldn’t quite let Mack go, with him promising he’d do anything for her. She also started therapy, and though it had a rocky beginning, things are slowly starting to improve for her.

Despite coming through all of that and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, she suddenly notices a change in her family’s behaviour. It leaves her unsettled and determined to do something about it.

The discomfort sees her approaching Mackenzie and pleading with him to help her get the family back to normal, which would mean them getting back to normal too. Does this mean a big reunion is on the cards?

Could this finally be a giant leap forward for these soulmates?
