Emmerdale’s Cain Dingle buries the hatchet with one enemy – but makes unexpected new foe
Cain has inadvertently started a war with one of his family members
Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) finally buried the hatchet with brother Caleb Milligan (William Ash) in Emmerdale, but in doing so he’s reignited an old feud.
The legendary mechanic has been at war with long-lost sibling Caleb in the wake of his affair with Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh).
Tracy, as fans know, was married to Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter), Cain’s son, hence the animosity between the two brothers.
Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) attempted to unite Caleb and Cain earlier this week but her efforts backfired gloriously. The matriarch, however, took the opportunity to call out the hypocritical Dingle clan, reminding them all of their past mistakes and how they were forgiven for them.

Fed up of Cain’s refusal to move on, Caleb took matters into his own hands, disowning the brother he longed so hard for, which came as quite the shock to Cain.
Wednesday’s (April 10) edition of the ITV soap saw Cain left with food for thought, with Caleb’s decision to turn his back on him having stung more than he thought it would.
Caleb, meanwhile, collapsed in the village after severe stomach pains, being rushed to hospital with appendicitis. When Cain got wind of his brother’s hospitalisation, he swiftly raced to visit him.
The visit left Caleb surprised and, despite Cain’s attempts to cover, it was clear that he was starting to warm towards him, with the ice thawing between the two.
All’s well that ends well, right?
Not in the land of Emmerdale I’m afraid because, over at Butlers, Nate confided in Moira (Natalie J Robb) about how happy he is that Cain is on his side and that there’s no way he could ever forgive his dad if he forged a relationship with Caleb after the affair with Tracy.
Bit hypocritical of Nate given that he was introduced to the show as Cain’s long-lost son and, in a bid to get revenge on his dad, he conducted an affair with his own stepmum Moira – but that’s none of my business!
