Mali is confronted by Eden trying to figure out what’s going on with her brother, but all Mali claims to know is that Levi was doing his job – checking on his patient Mackenzie.
Eden leaves without answers and Rose catches the end of the conversation. Mali admits there is something going on with Mackenzie, but he won’t tell her exactly what. Now Mali’s efforts to keep the secret of his friend’s affair is impacting his own relationship.
Eden checks in with Cash, considering her attempt to reconnect with her brother a failure. She’s unwilling to take his advice of getting some air, instead accusing him of taking Levi’s side. He leaves her alone to her own devices – suggesting that she should stop causing problems where there aren’t any.
Eden confides in Felicity and comes back to Cash, admitting that she overreacted a little bit. They agree a solution could be for her to reach out to her brother, starting with a surprise visit to the city.
Meanwhile, a new responsibility for Rose as Senior Constable is supervising the community service workers with bush rejuvenation. This includes Justin Morgan, but also Montana – an influencer determined to avoid getting her hands dirty at all costs.
Montana complains endlessly and Rose struggles to get her to fall in line. But with a wise word from Cash, Rose changes tack, reaching out to her. Rose points out that Montana has got a chance to take responsibility for her actions, and Montana could make this mean something.
To Rose’s own surprise, she is proud to have impacted Montana to embrace her work. There’s a bonus when she gives Justin some good news – his community service hours are done. He’s free to go.
Elsewhere, John confronts Cash, demanding to know the outcome of his investigation and who the anonymous donor is. Cash remains tight lipped, but John wants to re-freeze the funds now pending further information.
Against Marilyn’s advice, Roo and John confront Cash, he’s left them no choice but to freeze the funds, and they are calling a meeting to action it. Alarmed, Cash puts a call into the mystery donor, declaring that they have a problem.
