Emmerdale newcomer that Coronation Street fans may recognise
Emmerdale fans will soon be introduced to a new villager
TV fans are likely to recognise a new Emmerdale star who will make her on-screen debut later this month.
Acclaimed actress Christine Tremarco, who hails from Liverpool, is joining the ITV soap in the coming weeks. Christine will play Rose, who is known to Kim Tate’s husband, Will Taylor.
Bold and boisterous Rose will arrive straight from Benidorm, and her arrival is sure to cause a stir when Will fails to mention her to Kim.
Christine has a wealth of acting credits to her name, including roles in The Responder, Casualty and Safe House. Jimmy McGovern fans may also know her from Priest, a role she took on when she was just a teenager.
Long-term Corrie fans may recognise Christine from a brief stint on the soap back in 1998. She played Lucy Johnson, a friend of Spider Nugent who attended a party at Number 3 Coronation Street.
Ahead of joining Emmerdale, Christine said: “I am thrilled! To be working with such a wonderful cast and crew along with the brilliant writing and production team is an absolute joy!
“Rose is so much fun to play. She is free spirited and totally mischievous with a steely edge and a big heart.”
