Emmerdale legend Claire King wows in plunging corset dress and sheer tights
The legendary soap actress looked incredible even before she became a household name a year later playing the role of villainous Kim Tate in the Yorkshire Dales
Kim Tate is a name synonymous with Emmerdale viewers with her scheming character proving to be a major part of the ITV show’s success over two periods in time.
Actress Claire King originally joined the soap alongside her on-screen husband Frank and step-children Zoe and Chris in 1989, before departing a decade later with son, Jamie.
The 61-year old made a triumphant return to the Dales in 2018, meanwhile, in a bid to destroy the Dingle family before being involved in several further major storylines.
Now, as Kim finally begins to settle down with her partner Will Taylor and she cares for grandson, Thomas, a sizzling photoshoot has emerged, which took place 35 years ago.
The snaps, which were taken in 1988 – a year after Claire’s breakthrough role in the film, Eat the Rich – still look fabulous three-and-a-half decades on.
One pic shows her modelling a plunging red and black patterned dress complete with lace-up corset as she stares seductively into the camera lens.
With her blonde tresses styled in a messy way so typical of the time, the star adds black lace gloves and silver drop earrings to the mix.
In a second, in which Claire almost appears to be channeling her future character Kim, the actress dons a black silk dress featuring a cheeky sheer design across her bust.
And a third shows her sitting backwards on a chair in a short, tight-fitting black number that emphasises her famous curves.
Adding sheer tights and heels to her complement her look, Claire again already looks ready for the part of villainous vixen, Kim.
In 2020, Claire opened up on her new relationship with her partner, who she has been with for the last 15 years.
However, she won’t be putting him in the spotlight after ditching her relationship-drama past for a stunning barn conversion with her man deep in the Yorkshire Dales.
She explained to OK! at the time: “When I was married to Pete [on-screen step-son, Amory], we couldn’t help being in the public eye as we worked together, but, luckily, that wasn’t in the time of social media.
“My partner now isn’t in the business, and that suits me perfectly well. He isn’t interested in the business, and that keeps me grounded – not that I need grounding.
Claire isn’t able to have children after undergoing a hysterectomy in her forties – but admitted she always “looks for the positives”.
She explained that “things happen for a reason”, and her ex-husband Pete already had one son when they were together. She said: “By the time I got out [of the marriage] I was in my forties and I wasn’t going to just get pregnant for the sake of it.”
